Dock

A former harbor on the boundary dividing Karlin and Liben.

Magnificent views of Vltava, surrounded by greenery, and a park right in front of the office no more than 10 minutes from downtown Prague sounds appealing? That is the reality at the DOCK – a complex of residential and office buildings featuring the highest quality standard and LEED certification. Introducing a unique place for work and relaxation.

The challenge

The production of the movie with Bart Pogoda and Unit+Sofa came with several unique challenges, particularly given the tight timeline. Coordinating everything from castings to location scouting required precision, as each element had to fall into place seamlessly. Securing the right locations for the shoot was especially tricky, given the need to align them with the film's vision and the availability of both the crew and the sites.

Working with drones added another layer of complexity, as it required skilled operators and permits, especially in areas with strict regulations. The logistics of full production, including managing large teams, technical equipment, and shooting schedules, demanded a high level of coordination.

The designs

The residential section was designed by Ian Bryan Architects and Qarta Architektura, while Schindler Seko Architekti took the helm in designing the office buildings. The architecture emphasizes clean lines, modern aesthetics, and functional spaces that enhance both the quality of life and the environment.

More than just a collection of buildings, DOCK has also been designed with the intention of improving the public space and elevating the value of the surrounding area. This is reflected in the numerous awards that the project has garnered, which serve as a testament to its innovative design and holistic approach to urban development.

One of its standout features is the DOCK MARINA Club, a modern marina with a yachting school and watersports rental, providing unique recreational opportunities in the city. Designed by renowned architects, the residential and office buildings have won several awards for their modern, functional architecture. The integration of green spaces and public areas fosters a balanced work-life environment, making DOCK an ideal place for living, working, and relaxation.
